My dad used to always say that all people want two things in this world, a good life and a good death. As a kid I found that strange, but I get it now. Well, I've had a good life. It's been great actually. But what does a good death look like? For me, I guess it means spending my last moments surrounded by family. It means knowing that everyone will be okay without me and that when they miss me, all they need to do is play one of the recordings I left behind for them. It means resting in Jesus' love and knowing that heaven is just around the corner and that my beloved wife Annie, who I'm aching to see, is waiting there to embrace me. I think that's a good death.
